The SCCC is grateful to the many friends who have made significant contributions to the Center. Since 1966, private donor funding has enabled us to provide high-quality, affordable counseling services for those in need throughout Southern California. Your gift can make a difference to the lives of so many people - now, and in the future. Contributions in support of the Center's work can be made in a variety of ways: General Donations Donations of any amount are needed throughout the year. Your gift can go a long way toward enabling us to continue to provide quality mental services. Please consider making a gift of $100 or more. American Express Cardmembers who are enrolled in the Membership Rewards program can earn Membership Rewards points by making their contributions online at the GivingExpressSM program. ** Click here to make a donation using Visa, MasterCard or Discover card. The Investment Fund A special program for those able to make contributions of $1,000 or more. Become an investor in the future of mental health in Los Angeles. Your gift will sponsor critical programs, such as The Abuse Prevention Program, Empowered Parenting, Family and Child Therapy, gang and violence intervention programs, and SCCC's school counseling program. Tribute Fund At a time of loss, a living memorial is a special way to honor a friend or loved one. Also, a tribute in honor of a wedding, graduation, or birthday is a special way to commemorate the occasion. A card acknowledging your gift will be sent promptly. Special Events Help support SCCC by attending or supporting our annual Gala and other events. Call us for further information. Bequests Through your will, a bequest ensures that your wishes will be fulfilled in the future. If you already have a will or are planning one, you may decide to give a specific amount or a percentage of your estate, after providing for your loved ones. Often a bequest can be done simply with an amendment to your existing will. Discuss your desire to make a bequest to the Southern California Counseling Center with your attorney. Life Insurance Giving through life insurance can allow you to make a gift of assets you no longer need for your family's security. You can give existing policies or assign proceeds to be paid in part or in full. If you have policies that have served their purpose, i.e., to educate your children, consider naming Southern California Counseling Center as beneficiary. Matching Gifts Find out if you or your spouse's employer has a charitable matching gift program. A matching gift from your employer can double, or possibly triple, the amount of your donation. It's a wonderful way to maximize your support. ** Please note: American Express will deduct a transaction fee of 2.25% from your donation to cover processing costs. The charities will receive your donation amount, minus the 2.25% American Express processing fee, from our partner JustGive. This transaction fee is similar to or less than the processing fee the charity would pay if you were to charge your donation with your American Express Card through any other means (i.e., over the phone to the charity, through the charity's website, etc.). You will not be charged any additional fees for using the American Express Donation Site and the full amount of your donation is 100% tax-deductible.
